This is education, not advice
The information on this website is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you whether your skin will follow a reduced contour, how much can safely be removed from your thighs, or whether this operation is the right answer for the shape that bothers you.
Outcomes vary and none is guaranteed
No treatment can be guaranteed. Skin retraction after fat removal is variable and is not fully predictable at the time of operation, and the final contour is judged over six to twelve months rather than in the first weeks. That is a property of healing rather than a failure of technique.
Scars are permanent
Every operation leaves a scar. The access points used for fat removal are small and are usually placed where clothing covers them, and they mature over a year or more and then remain. No surgeon can promise that a scar will be invisible.
This is not weight loss
Fat removal is a contouring operation. It is not a treatment for obesity, it does not replace weight management, and the fat that remains after it still responds to weight change. Patients who expect the scale to move are usually disappointed.
